What were you trying to achieve? The task that I am achieving is the How- Make and how -to draw a hot beverage drink. The hot beverage I choose was how to make hot tea step by step. The problems I encountered was to think about how someone would follow the directions of what I drew to make a hot cup of tea. Another problem was trying to how I would vision my image of the pictures on to the paper step by step. What was your AHA! Moment? My AHA moment was that in drawing this picture was that I found it interesting how I drew the cup in step by step motions and this is how I make my tea but without the ice. What connections did you make to what you have learned in the readings and in class? The connections to the reading that I made was that in class was to the McCloud book of him showing the different steps of different objects and to show the simplified representations of the instructions shown in the book. There are smaller images with each step to enhance the details. What would you do differently had you more time or resources? If I had more time I would actually write out the steps of how to draw a hot cup of tea on the piece of paper and also try to give the person drawing it more tips so they could draw it exactly the same. I am going to now describe the step by step motion of how to make tea in sentences. The first step to making tea is that you want to grab a mug or a cup choose what you like and pour the hot water into it. Second you want to pick the tea bag and put it in a cup. Third you want to put a spoonful of sugar into it if you decided. Fourth you want to heat your mug or cup for 3-5 minutes long. Let your cup sit for a little while until it’s cool and if you would like you may add ice. Finally, you could have a nice cup of tea and enjoy it on a cozy day. The other idea I found tricky was to find a color that actually looked like tea. I tried to make it abstract and as colorful as I could. This time I switched it up and used colored pencils instead of sharpies to see if it works differently and in my opinion I really liked how the colored pencil worked out and it turned out. I liked using the three dimension step by step of how to draw these pictures. If I were to look at this diagram I would know how to make tea. How I would put myself in this place of position is that I would try to look at the diagram and follow the steps of each picture from step one to step eight. But overall I like this representation of how to make tea.
